G.E.M's Original DC5 RSX Integra Silicone Taillight Gaskets

A long term project since 2018, we wanted a definitive solution for the foam O.E.M. taillight gaskets failing, leaking, and causing water damage. Irremovable oxidization that discolors the inner reflective surface of the taillight or rust in the spare tire well if left unaddressed were commonly reported in the community. Our aim in 2018 was to create an all original, re-usable, silicone taillight gasket exclusively for the DC5 chassis that would last many lifetimes over traditional O.E.M. foam counterparts. Many lessons were learned with this project over years of trials and testing.

Golden Era Motorwork’s silicone taillight gaskets do not break down, degrade, shrink, or get saturated with water the way foam does over time. Foam is an extremely economical material made up from a lot of air and simply did not have the durability for our needs. Engineered from the same UV resistant silicone material as underwater diving equipment, highly resistant to compression set, and designed to withstand temperatures from -60° F to over 400° F, our silicone taillight gaskets are have passed years of testing with little to no wear. Like the seal in popular stainless steel water bottles, our gaskets are reusable,. We’ve checked compression set over long term testing, and have always proven themselves in our durability performance goals and expectations. We aim to preserve the current remaining DC5’s from water damage due to taillight leaks moving forward and are confident we have done our best in doing so.
